how to dehydrate? HELP!

I am trying to figure out what my raw food cook book means by "non-stick sheets" that are to be put in my dehydrator when making something that starts out liquid-y (and would, therefore, leak through the screen-y thing without some sort of solid sheet underneath). What are theese sheets, where can I get them, are they re-useable, are they non-leeching? Thank you so much for replies!

Also, I am trying to just "jump right in" with a couple things- I'd love to know how to make simple chip-ish things out of slices of squash- surely if I just dehydrate them they'll become leather-y and wierd, right? How could I get them crispy? Impossible?

P. S. I'd love it if you responded to me directly at paddanaram@yahoo.com but I'll try to check this site when I can. Thanks again!
