Time Savers - any ideas?

Hi, I am wanting to go raw. I have a very busy schedule and am looking for pointers on best use of time for food prep and storage. My idea was take at least whole day each week to prep some foods like the recipes I have seen here, things for my dehydrator. Also maybe there are certain staples I can prep and store easily for use through out the week or longer. Please, I would welcome any suggestions or ideas for best use of time and storage ideas.

I think you have the best idea already.
Take one day a week to prepare everything.Have everything washed, and put into containers or bags.
That way,you can just grab and eat.
As far as fresh veggie juice, there isnt really any way around the fact you need to consume it fresh, and not store it.
That means daily juicing, and that so dreaded chore....cleaning the juicer.

Really, the least work comes from just having foods you can grab and eat,and not getting into all kinds of fancy recipies that take alot of prep.

1. Buy an adjunct freezer if you have the space and budget. Buy in bulk and freeze prepped veggies for quick thaw after preparing in bulk.

2. Prepare large amount of raw soups and refigerate or freeze for overnight thaw.

3. Make large volumes of manna bread with the dehydrator and split between the counter, refrigerator and freezer. Eat the counter bread first, then frig bread and dethaw freezer bread last.

4. Place unwashed greens into bags and press the air out, use Evert-Fresh Green bags and disks if possible. Broccoli, kale, collards and romaine lettuce are the green that stay fresh the longest in the frig. Arugula, watercress, baby spinach, spring mix are more perishable and should be eat first or preserved (i.e. frozen or dried). Saves time on shopping, saves money on spoilage avoided.

5. Get a premium blender (Vitamix, Blendtec, Omega, Waring, etc) and get a smoothie recipe you like for a meal. Have one per day.

Best.

I make soups all the time.My favorite now is tomato.
2 tomatoes,olive oil,salt,2 sun-dry tomatoes and blend it.
Just delicious.
