HELP!! Need Walnut Information for Recipe to Make Now

I was just about to make the crust for a mushroom quiche since I have to dehydrate it overnight, and I realize it calls for "germinated" walnuts. How long do I have to soak these? Would it be bad if I didn't soak them? These nuts are unshelled and were bought at Fruitful Yield. Please respond quickly, and if you need anymore information, I'll be monitoring. Thanks!
