Avocado Pits...

Date: March 24, 2009 08:58PM I am not only eating raw, I eat all of the fruit, not just the pretty parts. I open the pits and eat the seeds there as well (contains B-17, very vital in cancer prevention and cure, esp in apricots) BUT, on the avocado, the meat inside is most all of the pit, does anyone know how to prepare it for consumption? It is very bitter and dry. One site said crush and add to applesauce, but i'm thinking that's a choker too rofl. Any ideas? Re: Avocado Pits...

I appreciate where you're coming from, but I don't bother with the avocado pit. I'm assuming I'm making up for that loss of monounsaturated fat and Amygdalin with other, easier-to-access veggies and seeds. A cold pressed, unfiltered avocado oil might have the nutrients you are hoping to get. If you have a 3 horsepower blender, you can allegedly whiz the avo pit in that to a paste. If you added greens to that and filtered water, you might have a palatable drink. Good luck! Re: Avocado Pits...

Yeah, as I'm watching the video, I'm thinking, "that screaming, grating noise indicates that this is something I am not supposed to ingest." At least that is what my monkey memory was thinking . . . Also, it shouldn't be titled, Will It Blend?, but Will It Blend Afterward? Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
