Date: May 13, 2009 10:33PM I don't know if I can find poms anymore but if so-- I'll try this too!
BTW completely random but when it says to soak cashews, how long do you do that for? Also I heard that cashews can never truly be raw because their outer shell/coating is toxic and well...don't remember the details but it has something to do with having to be heated to not be toxic. Do you know about that and if it's true? I was thinking of posting it on the main forum ____________________________________ ~Christina~ aka Chrilynhawk or SheThrowsDown Re: Pomegranate Pie ?!

Date: May 13, 2009 11:02PM yes they have a toxic oil that you cant touch , get in eyes etc., apparently there is a way of getting them out raw but its very labor intensive. for the amount of cashews i eat i dont worry about wether theyre raw , its a minor blip in my overall picture id soak them overnight for the recipie , that should just about do it ...Jodi, the banana eating buddhist Re: Pomegranate Pie ?!

Date: May 14, 2009 12:53AM I'm just now trying raw foods again so I don't think using cashews will be too big of a deal. I'm not that into hazelnuts and I don't even know where I'd buy filberts lol Thanks for the suggestions! ____________________________________ ~Christina~ aka Chrilynhawk or SheThrowsDown Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
