Dates vs. Agave

Hi.

I am currently on a candida diet, but I want to have an occasional "cheat," and I want to make it with something that is low in carbs, but of course has sweet taste. From the numbers, it looks like agave would work, but something tells me that even though dates have a higher GI (and more carbs), I should go with dates. Anyone have any thoughts, opinions, or knowledge of this?

I had the worst sugar craving the other day and found that the only help for it was the water and meat of a fresh, young coconut.

I would choose dates over agave, even if the GI is higher...Dates are a whole food, even if they are dehydrated and package with fructose.

Agave is processed, and not raw...
