Date: September 18, 2009 09:29AM Dear all,
it turned out my boyfriend is allergic to histamine, so he cannot eat things that contain histamine or that "promote" histamine. Well, I have difficulties explaining that in detail in English. Anyways, I am looking for a dessert / cake recipes that does NOT contain the following items: cocoa nuts dates raisins bananas dried plums avocados pears pineapple berries citrus fruits wheat apricots olive oil Apples, for example, are o.k., and I think seeds like flax should be o.k., too, and coconut oil as well. That's a real challenge, isn't it??? Thank you very much in advance for your suggestions. Re: looking for dessert recipe without histamine

Date: November 06, 2009 07:43AM Hmm...that is a challenge. I bet if he thoroughly cleanse on raw for awhile (perhaps even an extended juice feast) hed become more tolerant to some of those foods he cant eat now...
Anyways...Id try a base of young coconut, add some raw agave or stevia, and whatever fruit he CAN eat. Or perhaps....some young coconut flesh with the coconut water blended with some locuma powder and durian! (is durian ok?) Or just durian by itself! My fav smoothie recipe I came up with is durian, young coconut, agave (optional) and some rose geranium leaves. very tasty! Good luck! Re: looking for dessert recipe without histamine

Date: November 06, 2009 08:46AM I was reading up on the histamine restricted diet. It listed bananas as one of the foods that can be eaten... Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
