Date: March 10, 2010 01:25PM Hello there! Brand new to this website. I am very interested in dehydrating and storing yellow morel mushroooms. We have a trip planned to Michigan and hopefully a bountiful booty to bring home. Could anyone provide me with their experiences of drying and storing morel mushrooms? Also, are there any better ways? I keep reading about partially frying, after flouring, then freezing...any help would be greatly apppreciated . Thank you, have a fabulous day! Date: March 10, 2010 02:39PM My first instinct was to say that drying would be best, but then I found this web page which not only goes into the particulars of drying mushrooms, but spends some time on freezing and other preservation strategies. It seems like a good summary.
