Date: December 12, 2010 04:49PM I'd say that mesquite would be your key ingredient.
I made kale chips the other day, and I tried massaging them with a blend of cashews, mesquite, sea salt, nutritional yeast and a little sweetener, and dehydrated them. They tasted sooo good, very toffee-like flavour. Re: raw toffee

I think I have an idea how it could be...mmmmm... make a sweet cheesy kale chip, then cold smoke it with some mesquite chips (after its been dehydrated would probably work best.) but toffee, im gonna have to try sometime and see if I can make something toffee-Esq with your idea...sounds good! --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Oh, mirror in the sky What is love?
