New to Raw, on a budget, and need a dehydrator. Or do I? Recommended dehydrators?

I just watched FoodMatters and it has inspired me to go raw. I have been a vegetarian for at least 10 years, but have not been a healthy one. Lots of junk foods are meat free... but I digress.

I was looking into buyingf a dehydrator but don't want to spend much. My fiance is going raw with me, but he isn't really dedicated, so I am essentially preparing food for just me and don't need a large one. Any recommendations for a good inexpensive dehydrator? Thanks!!

I get by without one. I was given a cheapie without a thermometer and didn't like it - - way too small and frustrating not knowing the temperature.

The only dehydrating I do often is dehydrating soaked flax seeds. (DE-LISH!) I do it in a standard oven on the lowest setting with the door partially propped open.

Someday I'd love to have a big one with a thermometer, but alas, that's a way away.

I tried a Dehydrator years ago, but just couldn't make it part of my lifestyle. Don't we spent enough time in our Kitchens as it is? I'm not sure preparing food in advance is philosophically correct......WY

i love my excalibur 9-tray
i feel like God sent me it cause I found it at a thrift store!!
i know it's expensive, but if mine broke i'd definitely scrimp and save for a new one
a five tray would probably suffice if it's just for you and maybe one other
