Date: November 07, 2011 02:08PM Lacto in this case refers to the lactobacillus bacteria, a member of the lactic acid group because it converts lactose and other sugars into lactic acid. So it doesn't just use milk sugar (lactose) but it can use other sugars as well. Re: Lacto fermented hot sauce!

Date: January 15, 2012 04:07PM I got a nice bottle of cayenne hot sauce, generic brand from Stop N' Shop that didn't have any preservatives except maybe some xantham gum. I am so impressed! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
