Irish Moss Health Concerns [www.rawmazing.com] I bought a bunch of Irish Moss and tried soaking it and blending it up to use in a recipe, but it was chunky so I sat it in the refrigerator and then it started skeeving me, so I threw it out, and I think the bag of Irish Moss in the cupboard is getting those pantry moths in it. I wasted a lot of money on that stuff. I think I'll try using the Agar Flakes instead. Re: Warning about Irish Moss

Date: October 27, 2012 01:29AM Good info to know about carageenan for sure, since it's in SO many products. How much of this moss are we really likely to eat though? This would be used in the very occasional fancy dessert in my life, I wouldn't worry about it too much. I get more inflammation from a vigorous hike in the woods I'm sure... Date: November 16, 2012 04:49AM I've never used Irish moss, but then again, it's never been available/around for me to try. I like using flax seeds or chia seeds to thicken things up. [fresherthanlife.com] Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
