Nut cracker recommendations?

Date: November 27, 2006 06:54PM We'd like to move up to freshly-shelled nuts, rather than purchasing pre-shelled, but would like to find a convenient solution. Can anyone recommend their favorite nutcracker? We've seen the Krakanut, not sure what else is out there...

Date: November 29, 2006 03:29PM Stoneage man here, I put the nut on hard ground or a large stone and then use another large stone to hit the nut with. I find it works well, but preferably outside as it can make a mess!
