Date: December 27, 2006 08:03PM hey all
around the holidays my fam always makes "7 layer cookies" and i was wondering if i could get some help making a raw version. the original recipe looks like this: gram crackers & melted butter for a crust in the bottom of a pan then a layer of dried coconut then a layer of choc chips then a layer of peanutbutter/butterscotch chips then you pour a can of condensed milk over it all put in the over til the chips start to melt take out and put a layer of pecans. i was thinking honey and coconut oil in place of the condensed milk, but im not sure about the gram crackers... any help at all would be appreciated. THANKS Re: help with substitutions please

Date: December 27, 2006 09:16PM Almonds and date (a few bursts in the food processor) for the crust.
Layer of fresh hard coconut meat from a mature coconut. Layer of raw cocoa nibs. Layer of almond butter. young coconut flesh, some cocont milk and agave (or cashews blended to a cream instead of coconut) An a layer of pecans. Hmmmm, I bet some blue berries would be nice in that too! Cheers, Ian. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
