Stoned avocado?

I read a recipe that asked for a peeled and "stoned" avocado. Does anyone know what that means? Thanks!

I am not sure but I thought it meant mashed. I have one of those stone bowls with the stone masher, whatever they are called, I assumed it meant using that.
