where do i get the culture to make kefir?nut mylk kefir?do i just make nut milk and let it sit and ferment or is there a culture and what is it and where do i get it??thank u so much.taylor

Taylor, I don't really know anything about it... but couldn't you keep a little from each batch to start the next one? Like I said, I don't know because I don't do kefir, but I do remember seeing a raw recipe for cheese that said to keep a little to start the next batch. Good luck with it!

oh my gosh-i think this is correct Pam...good thinking!! i am sure i could.pakd4fun-i think it is like a sort of fermented nut milk.for good stuff to be going on in your intestines.i don't know if it is good or not.it is in rainbow live-green cookbook.

Yes, that's how you do it. But you need to make sure that what you buy contains the kefir grains (that's what they are called, they aren't really grains). Withoutout the grains, it will not grow.
