Date: April 28, 2007 01:34AM I need to get myself some bags. I've seen nylon mesh ones and I've also seen organic unbleached cotton and hemp ones. Which one works out best or which one do you prefer?
Thanks! Re: Nut milk/sprouting bags...?

Date: April 29, 2007 10:46AM hey there..yeah the cheesecloth seems to work well for a friend who is raw on this site...i made almond mylk for the first time the other day and since i don't make it often and didn't have anything on hand i used a pair of nylons that i had never worn (or use a clean washed pair haha) and i cut off the foot and drained the milk in there and it worked out perfect!! good luck

Date: May 08, 2007 05:23AM The organic cotton ones are prolly better for you. We bought some nylon ones on ebay. It is faster to squeeze the milk out. Cause we make a ton of it. Re: Nut milk/sprouting bags...?

Date: May 12, 2007 11:37PM I had cotton and nylon bags for making hemp milk. The cotton one didn't last very long, the pulp from hemp seeds can be a bit sharp. The nylon one lasted much, much longer. Cotton better because natural, nylon stronger - maybe hemp would have the best of both worlds.

Date: May 21, 2007 06:10PM I use nylon stockings, too! I stretch a knee-high around a wide mouth funnel & hang than on top of my pitcher then pour the milk through & squeeze. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
