Do you ever have raw oatmeal?

If so what do you put in yours?

I am expecting some raw oats to arrive soon which I ordered online..

I plan to soak them overnight and then add cinnamon and coconut oil/butter in it.

Great idea! How would I do this? Do I put them in the dehydrator?

I put orange juice, bananas, coconut and raisins in soaked steel cut oats.

soak oat groats over night in water. next day strain, rinse, place in dehydrator for 24 hurs till completely dry. The day that they are dry you can use them.
Grind the oats in food processor till it's powder - there's your oat flour.
Add agave or raw honey to taste, cinnamon, nutmeg, raisins, a pinch of sea salt.
Shape the wet dough into little cookies using a tiny ice scream scoop or a rounded teaspoon and place on teflex sheets in your dehydrator till dry.

If you are not 100% raw, I had a friend who made hers with organic maple syrup instead of agave and they kicked ass. They had a real old fashioned taste with the maple.

Agave or honey work fine too and people won't believe they are "raw" cookies. smiling smiley

one more thing...
if you are a coconut fan you could grind up dried raw coconut shreds into powder and add it to the raw oatmeal batter.
