Date: August 08, 2007 04:19AM My daughter and a raw food friend of hers just sent this to me because I couldn't for the life of me figure out how to open a coconut. I thought I would share it with y'all if any need instructions...
[myspacetv.com] I hope the link works, I'm a bit tecky impaired. Re: Coconut Cracking 101

Date: August 08, 2007 03:00PM People have explained this to me for years, and I've seen at least two other demonstrations, but this was by far the simplest, and most memorable way I've seen. In fact, there's a whole, long complicated thread here at this site on opening them. Thank you so much. I think I can actually do it now. Date: August 09, 2007 04:20AM I think any old cleaver will do, Daniels was quite dull in fact. I just bought one from amazon for about $12, but unfortunately, the shipping was $10! I can't wait to try it though, and have my coconuts all ready! Re: Coconut Cracking 101

Date: August 11, 2007 10:53PM Well, I finally got my cleaver and was able to open my coconut up on the first try, it's pretty easy.
I blended the water, meat, aguave, vanilla, ice and some wheatgrass juice to make a milkshake, very delicious. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
