It's been a long day.. the weather wasn't so great and you were busy all day. You are finally home and want nothing more than to relax and have a great relaxing and fulfilling meal. (Before raw, I would definately turn to pasta or soup or something warm)

What do you make?

Please put your favorite "comfort" recipe here. I'm sure it will be a great resource on "THOSE DAYS" =)

My favorite comfort food is shredded zucchini mixed with mashed avocado and sea salt & garlic. It is very satisfying tastes kind of like Mac & Cheesesmiling smiley

I go for Ani Phyo's raw minestrone. I warm it to the touch.

I always crave broccoli at night for some reason.

I put a bunch of broccoli spares into a big bowl, throw in some sunflower seeds and sometimes I add raisins. Than I blend my favorite nuts, add something sweet (agave, date, honey), a splash or more of raw apple cider vinegar, pinch of celtic sea salt and some splashes of water. I pour on the blended mixture onto the broccoli, mix and I am lovin it!

It's simple, but I crave bananas. When I take a bite of one, I am immediately soothed. Maybe it's the carbs?

Speaking of craving brocolli... check out my Brocolli salad; its DELISH:

- brocolli head chopped into flowerettes
- chopped red pepper
- cucumber
- thinly sliced carrot
- red onion

Dressing
- 4 tbsp. flax oil
- 2 tsp. stone ground mustard
- 2 tbsp. maple syrup
- 2 tbsp. apple cider vinegar.
(sorry I don't have exact measurments, so you might have to add more of one thing or another to suit your taste).

Mix everything together and voila... so tasty. Even better overnight.

I'm funny with 'nanas. I never ever want them. EXCEPT when I feel homey and like I need to be held (ah, no family in sight here in NYC). then I really want them.
