mint crab apple juice

Date: October 05, 2007 03:56PM I've got a crab apple tree, and decided to juice some apples this morning. The apples on my tree are small, irregular, and very tart. I couldn't get that many of them without getting out the big ladder, so it was a small take. There's no time for messing around with the big ladder on a work day morning! You can't really see scale from the photo, but the biggest of them are only about two inches across:
I juiced them up with some common mint. It was a small batch, but yummy. It was very sour from the apples, but the mint sweetened it up well. After I enjoyed my glass of mint crab apple juice I didn't want to wash up the juicer after making such a small batch, so I juiced up a whole watermelon with a bunch more mint. I haven't had any yet, because I thought it would taste better chilled. I've got some of it in the office fridge and hope to get outside to drink it sometime this afternoon. Re: mint crab apple juice
