dehydrating vegies
Posted by: Anonymous User ()

I'm new to cooking raw, and have so far found that dehydrating anything with vegies (i.e., corn, etc.) has made them taste bad. Any tips? Do you just get used to it?) Any suggestions?

when new to raw fooding don't worry about the dehydrating as much.
Keep playing with amounts, taste testing all the way.

chese/mustard sauce: 1 cp corn, 1 tblspoon ground flax, 1/4 cp parsley, one clove garlic, 1/2 inch ginger, (jalepeno or a dash of clove are nice) and enough orange juice to get it going. blender baby. and dehydrate 2-6 hours.
also try dipping avocado slices in the sauce, eat then or dehydrate. hey dip what ever you want!! i'm going to try it as a cheese sauce on my pizza!!

Check out "sodoffsocks" message about rising carrot raisin bread! I've been raw for about a year now and am still and forever experimenting...however those experiments are finally consistantly tasting yummy.

good luck julie!!
enjoy
