Date: March 14, 2008 03:19PM Tomorrow night I'm bringing dessert to a dinner party with a group of entirely non-raw folks. I want to completely WOW them with something delicious that they would never believe is raw. Any suggestions or recipes I should consider? I want it to look and taste amazing.
Thank you! Re: Bringing dessert to a non-raw dinner party. Need advice

Date: May 11, 2008 01:44AM Here is the best ever, no-fail, win-em-over dessert:
Joy’s Cinnamon Rolls with Chocolate Fudge Frosting Cinnamon Rolls 1 C raw, organic pecans (not soaked) 1 C raw, organic medjool dates 1/4 C raw, organic cacao powder 1 T organic vanilla powder 1 t organic, ground ginger 1/4 C raw, organic coconut butter (this is creamy ground cocoanut meat, Artisana is my favorite) 1/4 C organic, ground cinnamon Blend all ingredients except the cinnamon in a food processor, pulsing until it forms a wellmixed dough. Add a couple more dates if it needs to be a little bit stickier. Spread 1/2 the cinnamon onto a flexible plastic cutting board and press the dough into a rectangle about 1/8" thick, starting about 3" from the edge nearest you. Sprinkle the rest of the cinnamon on top, pushing lightly into the dough. Lift the edge of the flexible board nearest you and start to roll the dough away from you until rolled into a log. Cut into 2" rounds. (Think sushi rolls.) Arrange on a plate and put into the refrigerator for about an hour. Chocolate Fudge Frosting 1 C raw, organic cacao powder 1 C raw, organic agave nectar 1/4 C raw, organic coconut butter 1 T Cinnamon Zap in food processor until smooth, creamy and shiny. Plop onto Cinnamon rolls. (I like a giant 'plop' on mine; my husband likes the rolls without the frosting. Try it both ways!) Store left over frosting in a glass jar in the refrigerator. Let sit at room temperature for about an hour before using again.
