International Green Smoothie Day and BiG

Believe in Green is a raw food charity event in honour of International Green Smoothie Day, on August 15th. Including 10 days of green smoothie recipes, interviews, and prizes, your $10 donation supports nutrition and environmental programs for girls. Visit www.believeingreen.com and discover why green smoothies will make a BiG difference to your health and our planet!

A letter from Tera Warner of The Raw Divas about BiG:

Burgers and fries.
Cake and pastries.
Lipstick.
Chocolate bars.
Chai latté with soymilk.
Popcorn at the movies.
Chocolate-coated peanuts and almonds.
Pizza.
Girlie magazines.
Another trashy romance novel.

These are just some of the things people are spending $10 on
while I write this reply.

But if you're a member of Living and Raw Foods, then I know you.

You're a pioneer on the path to better living.

You're a believer in a better world and a health-seeker,
a hope-bringer.

People like you know that we vote with our money,
and you put your money where it counts, where it
makes a difference.

That's why I wanted to let you know about BiG

August 15th is International Green Smoothie Day.

So we decided that rather than do another self-indulgent
green smoothie challenge that's all about losing weight,
having more energy, getting rid of cellulite, etc. that we
could do better.

So we've organized a fund-raising project for young girls
in the lower east side of New York City.

You can still lose your cellulite, but here's how it's going
to work:

On August 15th, or leading up to it, our goal is to get 1000
health-seeking heros and heroines to make a $10 investment
in themselves as part of a green smoothie challenge, but
rather than keep the money for ourselves, we're giving
EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR to the Lower East Side Girls' Club in
New York City to help sponsor their nutrition and environmental
initiatives program.

With your help, these girls are going to learn about proper
nutrition and how to grow their own food in community gardens!
Then they'll go on into even lower income areas to teach other
school children how to do the same.

When you register for "BiG Believe in Green" you're $10 will
get you:

-A 10-day green smoothie challenge
-recipes, daily emails and inspiration for healthy living
-Access to 10 powerful interviews with BiG thinkers like
Julia Butterfly Hill, Ani Phyo, Kris Carr, Majora Carter and
others!

And since EVERY SINGLE DOLLAR goes to the Lower East Side
Girls' Club, then you also get the satisfaction of
knowing your $10 will go a long way to making the world a
better place.

No box of chocolate-covered peanuts can do THAT.

We just need 1000 people to donate $10 and we'll reach our
objective!

So far 167 health heroes and heroines took the plunge.

We still need 833 people to join us.

A certain percentage of the people who read this message will
just ignore it.

Another percentage will check out the website, consider
spending the money, then decide they can't really be
bothered.

So, that leaves us with YOU.

We need your help.

$10 feels like a lot when it's up on the screen, but just
think of the things you've widdled $10 away on before.

This is going to be the best $10 you've ever spent.

We're counting down the days and only have about 10 days
until we kick off this event. Whatever you can do to help
us make this happen is appreciated beyond words.

And besides, Stacey, how much better does it feel
to lose cellulite when you're contributing to a worthy
cause while doing it?!

Love and gratitude,

xo
Tera
