Hi from Manhattan!

Date: June 15, 2009 11:37AM Greetings, raw foodies...!
I've been vegan since Feb. 2008 and I adore the new lifestyle. I am now transitioning into raw, partly as a discipline and partly for health---and fat loss. I am looking to shed about 10-15 stubborn pounds; stubborn meaning they've been there for 5 years and I can't get them to leave even if I shut off their lights and electricity and play loud music at them at 3 AM. I play basketball, lift weights, bike, run and swim, and I still look, as one friend put it, "doughy". Any support or encouragement is appreciated. Very friendly, positive, spiritual full-time musician and writer. Thanks! Re: Hi from Manhattan!

Date: June 18, 2009 08:26PM Hi Bambam,
I am in Manhattan, too, brand new to this forum, and transitioning to raw foods (slowly). Up to now have not been a vegan, or even vegetarian, so even changing to about 50% raw veggies and fruits and juices has allowed for an amazing transformation for me so far! Good luck on your raw food transformation and weight loss goals. I'm sure the raw foods will help get rid of any stubborn pounds you think you have.
