Day 1

THis is my first post and my first day trying to "go raw." For quite a while I have avoided processed foods and additives. Now I think I am ready to make the jump to raw food. I went shopping yesterday and stocked up for a solid 1 week trail.

I have read a few books about raw foods and feel like I can do it. I am somewhat concerned about nutrition and especially amino acid which I need to become more familiar with.

Please offer my any advice on maintaining adequate nutrition. THis is a one week 100% raw trial right now, but if it goes well then it will keep going.

Jeremy,
Welcome!
Congrats on your decision to go raw.

When I started, I made it a point of having only fresh fruit,or fruit juice(only fresh squeezed or blended) for breakfast.I emphasize watermelon and cantaloupe for my breakfasts.I feel they are most cleansing.
I would say just stick to any raw fruit or veggie for your meals, and the longer you stick with it,the less your body will want anything processed.
