Yes, I know of Meetup, but nothing in my area. I don't live in a vegan friendly area at all. I have only meet one vegan and one vegan by marriage since I moved here. I was all excited that a raw foods store opened up less then a mile from my house. However, when I went to visit, the place smelled like rancid meat because they sell raw meat. Gag me with a spoon!
