Date: September 13, 2006 07:40PM I am having trouble finding raw people here in Florida. It seems that a lot of the potluck listings are outdated and that most of the raw food people are fronts for scientologists. Any suggestions? I am in pinellas county.

Date: September 16, 2006 01:33PM -There are plenty of them. There are large support groups in most of the large cities I know. I have been to the ones in Hollywood & Melbourne. There are also large groups in Miami, Orlando. I'm located in Central FLorida: Avon Park / Sebring / Lake Placid. I want to get a group going here in Avon Park.....but I'll keep you informed. In the meantime....ask your local health food stores if you can post a flyer asking those that might interested to contact you.

Date: September 19, 2006 04:21AM Hi, I'm rather new at all this. I live in Sarasota and haven't found anything. Whole Foods is having a class on preparing raw foods on the 21st and I hope to meet some people there. If I learn anything new I'll let you know.

I'm in Tampa and there are quite a few of us that collect at Rose Kalajians Natural Health Hut in Wesley Chapel for monthly candlelight dinners, she has speakers/authors come in, classes and has an annual herbal event. (see imherbalist.com if you're interested or going to be in this area). We have several nice restaurants that are organic, vegan, as well as gourmet raw selections. advise if you would like more info on them. Hope this info. helps in any way! Re: Florida

for anyone who is interested... Iam a raw foodist living in ft. lauderdale. I currently help teach raw food classes as "Faces and Beyond" day spa on Atlantic blvd just west of the intercoastal on the south side. The classes are every last friday of the month. Great group of people and lots of fun!!! Check out their website. Another organic market just opened up "Organic Market." Their located on cypress (62nd) just west of Dixie on the south side. I am hoping to head up some raw food classes there real soon. Please let me know if you are interested!! Re: Florida
