Orange County, CA RAW FOODS

I'm beginning to implement the lifestyle to a larger degree and was interested in finding other people involved with raw foods that are from around here. Thanks and Be Well! Date: January 04, 2007 10:52PM I used to live right near the border in East Long Beach. Have you been to Au Lac in Fountain Valley? I also hear there is a new place near the beach called Terra Bella. Can't remember which beach, but I know it's near Orange. There's also a pretty large raw group out there, I'm sure you'll have fun! Re: Orange County, CA RAW FOODS

Date: January 07, 2007 03:07AM I'm moving to Orange County in the fall to study music therapy at Chapman University. Just wondering how the raw community is. I'm from Alaska and it's really difficult to be raw here in the winter. The produce sucks even though our local organic food store tries really hard. How's life in SoCal? Date: January 16, 2007 01:24AM Raw Step by Step - yeah Au Lac is great! I just went there last night actually. There is also Good Mood Food in Huntington Beach and in Costa Mesa they are opening a new restaurant called 118 Degrees.
na(raw)dia - where are you in OC? I'm in northern oc (fullerton) area. I want to start meeting other raw foodists around here, I know they are around! brooke_ak - like na(raw)dia said, you can get most fruits and veggies year round. Mother's Market almost always has a good selection (albeit it's a drive for me) and there are lots of farmers markets if you know where to go! it's usually pretty warm down here except from right about now till early march. The coldest it usually gets during the day is 60 degrees but lately that Gulf of Alaska air has swept in and it's about 40! In the summer it gets hot so that'll make it easier to be raw for you  Re: Orange County, CA RAW FOODS

Date: January 16, 2007 08:50PM I'm in Costa Mesa..yes it would be great to meet up with others in the area! I heard of the new restaurant opening 118 Degrees..pretty much around the corner from my house. Hopefully it's good. Suppose to open in January??? I'm not sure that that's going to happen...
