Date: March 13, 2007 01:22PM Full and healthy durian seeds will grow after planted. Those that are flat will not. But when I lived in Thailand I was told that to get a good tree you need to graft. I planted many durian seeds of various varieties but they all died within a year. I was told that it takes a lot of extra special care to grow durian trees. Try contacting someone on the Hawaiian islands. I'm told they have ripe in season durian all year round. This way is not compatible with Zen practice. Thomas, were you referencing "Real Ultimate Power: The Ultimate Ninja Guide," which I'm reading in one of the shots? (That was actually just my excuse to let people know what book it is, in case they aren't familiar. Whenever I see it, I think it looks like a racist book. And it's not. Just so ya know....) I am in The US Virgin Islands. I have asked a number of farmers here and no one has heard of Durian. I guess I could try seeds first than figure something else out. Do you know where I can get any seeds?? Lisa Re: Pictures of you!

Re: Durians. I didn't bookmark the site but I recently ran across a tropical fruit website that had tropical fruit nursery resources listed. Try a search on those. The issue of transporting live seeds across borders, state or international, is a touchy issue, so short of smuggling a few seeds, experienced nurseries might be a help with regulations. There might be a grower in S. Florida as Durians will grow there. Good luck with the Queen of Fruit! Re: Pictures of you!

Date: March 17, 2007 12:39AM Hey thanks guys....for me it's very much a state of mind, if you think weak, your gonna be weak and the transition period is a butt kicker for sure, so you gotta be strong, active and just live your life to the fullest and allow your body to do it's job because as the saying goes, if you can't do the time, then don't do the crime.
Now after all these years I'm on the other side of my transition and I'm in the best shape ever and I owe it all to Fruitarianism and staying active! Fruitarianism/Raw Veganism is not perfect and was never meant to be and nothing in this life is. F1 Re: Pictures of you!

Date: March 19, 2007 12:45AM First time uploading pics. I don't have many pics
Here is me in 2004 when I was a sushi-loving omnivore - whoa! sorry so big! Here is me without my chin and dreads [cropped out]... I took this picture today with a $10 camera. A little about me - I was raw for a short time over a year ago, and have been a 'cooked' vegan for a year. I am transitioning to raw again now. I was about 70% this past week [test run] until this weekend. Going for it from here on out - my goal is at least 80% and excited about eating all the frest fruit I can get! Re: Pictures of you!

I think it was my inner herbivore coming out. ;0 actually, a little about that picture - it was taken in Japan where I studied abroad for 6 months - I was vegetarian for about 6 months before I went, but went back to eating meat while I was there "to get the full spectrum" of cuisine... er something. Anyway I went back to being veg as soon as I got back and have been ever since. Well back to work .. I think I've always had clear skin - I guess I"m lucky, it's a blessing!
