Uterine Fibroids..HELP!! (New To Website)

Hello All,

First it is a pleasure to be here and a part of such a reputable website!
It is very comforting and reassuring to know that so many knowledgable people with such wonderful life experience are here for me during my transition to a completely RAW Foods lifestyle.

I do need your help though..and assistance with an issue that I am presently facing..any and all input..as well as recipe suggestions is greatly appreciated.

Today,I found out that I have "numerous" uterine fibroids.. one of them is measuring 10-12"..roughly the size of a large grapefruit. The fibroids, especially the large one..has made my uterus rise to just below my belly button.

I have been told by traditional physicians that a full or partial hysterectomy is my only alternative.. I refuse to believe such a narrow minded statement.

I thoroughly believe that once the body is naturally detoxified..that its natural healing properties can come back into full play..allowing our bodies to naturally heal itself.

If anyone would care to comment on my situation..recommend a solution..or just give encouragement and assistance.. all is welcome.

I have had one recommendation.. to go on a 30-60 day fresh orange juice fast to allow my body to detox and begin to heal. Any thoughts on this????

Yours Truly,
Jennifer

Right now.. I feel frightened, frustrated and confused.

Hello...I was just scrolling down the message list and I saw your post...First...please don't be frightened...there are many discussions on this site regarding fibroids...Although I think they were posted in the general discussion area...so...perhaps you could post your question there...I don't have fibroids but I wouldn't try anything that was too radical...also I wanted to answer your inquiry to let you know that someone is concerned...Diana

Hi jennifer,

I am currently going through the same thing. I have several large fibriods, the largest being 10cm. I even have a lump in the same location that you described. In addition to the fibroids, I have a 5cm ovarian cyst. I was told that my uterus and one ovary should be removed. I am not accepting this. Most people around me are trying to push me to have the procedure. I have so far ignored the advice. I just finished a 28 day juice fast. I can now barely see the lump. Since the fast I have been eating lighter, with more uncooked foods. The only cooked part of my meals is beans or bread. I hope to see more improvements on the way. I especially hope to find that the cyst has disappeared. It seems that is what the doctor was most concerned with.

Have your dietary changes helped your condition? I would love to hear what your experience is. I will post again if I have any more favorable updates.

Thanks,
Shadow Mack
