Date: June 04, 2006 02:56AM

hello All
my family member, living in Missasagua ON, has a brain tumor

she & her husband r trying out the raw diet to make it go away

i'm trying to find for her any good organic food shopping places in Missasagua, or the area, as they r new to this all & not doing that well

(i am raw & at the other end of the country, & am consulting them on how to go about it, plus, they're doing it following my suggestion)

HELP PLEASE, IF U HAVE ANY INFO.
she has an appointment for June 20 to have the radiation, but she might postpone it...it would be her decission....the tumor seems to be not a cancer, doctors suspect, but is growing, & she has headaches

thank U in advance
BLESSINGS & LOVE,
Basia

I'm in Hamilton but I can help with different locations.

Number One: look for the farmer's markets. [www.farmersmarketsontario.com] Search under "Market Finder" I know there is one in Streetsville and one in the parking lot at Square One.

Number Two: In Oakville and Toronto there are two locations of the store called Whole Foods Market. Expensive but FANTASTIC SELECTION. [www.wholefoodsmarket.com]

Number Three: If you ca get to it the St. Lawrence Market has great organic produce.

Number Four: Uhum...Local farms. Do a search online and see if there are any near by. You mentioned that you were is Mississauga but are you closer to Oakville, Etobicoke or Brampton? If you are closer to Brampton I KNOW they have farms that sell fresh foods.

Also, I know there are some co-ops that are in place in the GTA. WHere you pay for a 'green bin' full of whatever is fresh and organic. I would have to do some more searching to find them again. Aha! I think this was the place I saw at the vegetarian food fair a few years ago

I hope all of this helps.
