Apple pest control

So my two young apple trees have little apples growing on them and I read one way to keep them from getting wormy is to staple little lunch bags, one around each apple. Seems like a neat idea, only having about 100 apples to protect so far it's doable for me, but I'm not sure how it would look or if there's a better way.... any ideas?

I've heard that cayenne pepper works wonders

This sounds reasonable, I think I'm going to pick up a red hot ceyenne pepper and juice it with some water and spray it on. I have some neem oil I can apply afterwards which should keep it from washing off. Beats the "bagging" idea!
