Very cool! Such a variety! We started our indoor garden a few weeks ago and have happy little seedlings under the LEDs - I am just so jazzed that LEDs work!!

Where do you get these LEDS? ARe they special? DO they work better than "shop lights"(that's what I'm using)

LED's are full spectrum without the heat is a major poiint for me smiling smiley

under normal hydroponic conditions using metal halide , you end up having to have coolers in your grow areas and usually some sort of humidifying/dehumidifying system depending on your situation .. simple LED's seem to negate these issues smiling smiley

no extra heat no extra humidity monitory no extra cooling no extra electricty output = win win grinning smiley

I'm using the new T5 grow lights, which are very efficient and produce very little heat. They're probably not as efficient as the LED lights, but I don't know how close they are. I like that the light they produce looks more natural to the human eye, so my plants look more "normal". I would be interested to see if anyone has done a compare-and-contrast between LED and T5 grow lights. Most of what I see compares them to metal halide or HPS grow lights, instead.

Anyone know of some good resources?

I would be very interested to find out more about LED gardening. I don't have any outdoor space where I live and even though all the windows in my apt (save for one) face south, I am finding it VERY hard to get my little plants adequate sunlight. Any links would be greatly appreciated. TIA
