Ok. I currently have a 15 tray wheatgrass setup in a spare room in the house, near a double window. Several of the trays are on a long folding table parallel to the wall/window and the rest are on two plastic shelves next to it. The house is surrounded by a lot of trees, and with the cloudy weather lately, there's just not enough light I believe, and it shows. (there's also a bit of an odor coming from the room, but that's not too big a deal).....I was thinking of moving the whole setup to the basement using growlights. I would just get another folding table and lay as many trays across the two tables together as possible as you see in many large green house setups. I need to determine, though, appropriate growlights (I'd probably want hanging from ceiling, no?) for a 6ft by 6ft (two 6ft by 3ft tables side by side) area of trays. Obviously, at any given time, there's only be maybe 3/4 of the total trays needing light, so lets say a 5 by 5 area. Is the oxygen in a basement sufficient? I'd be using a fan to keep the air flowing. Any and all information you have for guidance, I'm new to the idea of lighted interior garden, and would love to get as much of your experiences as I can! Thanks for your time.

We grow greens and starts indoors in the winter and early spring using cheap florescent lights that hang off the shelves of a metal rack. It's fun to watch the cops drive by real slow!
