Very tasty and colorful. A combination of alfalfa, mung bean, buckwheat, almond and wild rice sprouts. Added avocado, tomatoes, flax meal, dressing.

Lovelivingraw-

I wish I had Smell-O-Vision like you apparently do, LOL! But seriously, that looks like an awesome meal! I'd like the recipe of the patties...

What a nice, colourful dish!

Where, oh where, do you find sproutable wild rice??? The wild rice we buy in the store has been heated in the processing.

I keep the ingredients separated like in the picture so it stays fresh until lunch time, then mix it up when ready to eat.

The wild rice is from Trader Joe's. I've seen them at other stores but more expensive. Soaking it in water for 24 hours, and another 24 hours drained and they taste delicious and chewy. Store them in the fridge.

Bananawho - those aren't patties, it is a scoop of flax meal. I can see how the flax meal looks like a patty from the picture smiling smiley

First of all, many thanks to both of you for your information on obtaining wild rice for sprouting purposes.

However, in your photograph, the wild rice doesn't look as if sprouted. Could you explain? Thanks.

The difference is in the eating of it, not so much how it looks.

But sprouts normally have a little...sprout. I was wondering why it didn't show. I was not doubting the nutritional value.
