Date: January 04, 2011 12:40AM My maiden journey with my Sprout Master was half a tray alfalfa, half chia. I basically covered the damp bottom of the tray with seeds, misted them three times a day and then ate some very lovely alfalfa sprouts. The chia did not sprout so well. Maybe half a dozen sprouts came up around the time I was harvesting alfalfa.
What can I do to improve the growth of my chia? I don't care to eat just soaked seeds (although if they're soaked in raw 'eggnog' they turn into a fabulous pudding). Why do the chia pet ads make growing chia sprouts look so easy? Re: Ch-ch-ch-chia

Date: January 12, 2011 09:32PM If you used a tray, does that mean you used dirt for these sprouts? Just curious why you didn't use the jar method. (I don't have an answer about the chia seeds. Sorry.) Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
