Question about making our own stakes/trellises
Posted by: banana who ()

Or rather, has anyone ever created a trellis out of branches tied together with string? I am not investing a bunch of money on cages or trellises! Been there, done that. Well, I have never bought a trellis but they are expensive. I am trying to find a free version and figure that I could just go into the woods and pick some big sticks and tie them together.

Jodi, I don't think bamboo grows in the Midwest! That would be great if it were possible though. I will look into it. Thanks.

I think I will go into the woods, get branches of equal height and use twine to connect them. I see all these prefab trellises and they are soooo expensive!
