Date: January 07, 2013 09:18PM Hello,
I've heard it said that when buying seeds or plants I should be sure to buy organic, heirlooms. Do you agree? Also, how in the world can I get my produce to be nutrient dense when the soil is lacking soooo much and the "Home" typically only offer you 3 of the many many minerals to amend with?? Thank you, Mindy Re: What should I know about buying seeds/plants for garden?

I recommend organic seeds whenever possible. Not ALL seeds are available in organic, so if you ONLY grow organic you will MISS out on many unique varieties of crops you could grow. I ALWAYS recommend NO GMO seeds and NON-TREATED seeds. Some seeds they coat with chemicals. On growing nutrient dense foods, please check my youtube channel www.growingyourgreens.com where I teach how to build your soil by adding natural, organic ammendments. I am loving your videos!! Your info is a blessing to me. Thank you for taking your own personal time to help me and others. Yay! Mindy You don't happen to live in Central Calif. do you?? If so, do you offer classes that my hubby and I could attend? Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 01/11/2013 08:09PM by mindy66. Re: What should I know about buying seeds/plants for garden?

Date: January 14, 2013 05:26AM I am going to try to grow just 4-5 key things this year. I also have seeds/plant questions. What are the good seed companies? I want to build up a small library of healthy seed plants that will grow Veggies.,fruit,etc. that have their own seeds in them.
What are the companies with healthy seeds? I like the "NO GMO seeds and NON-TREATED" from the previous post, organic is probaly the best. I will definitly grow tomatoes, then green leafy things, brocolli, kale? I live in Northern Colorado. Is there a site where this has been dealt with already?? thanks, this is my first post here. thank you, colkid Re: What should I know about buying seeds/plants for garden?

Monsanto = EVIL Mindy ![]() Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
