Date: August 22, 2014 05:40PM So I've recently started sprouting and am curious as to which grains and legumes take best to sprouting (and if anyone cares to share any tips!). I've had success with green lentils and buckwheat using the jar method -- I felt very accomplished, actually -- and am eager to try more.
Would forbidden black rice sprout? Also, are there any beans/grains that should NOT be sprouted? {As always, thank you} Re: Best Legumes & Grains For Sprouting?

Date: November 08, 2014 11:42PM Green or red mung beans, lentils, and alfalfa are very good! I really love sprouting , and did a bunch this summer. As fall has rolled in with the holidays, sprouting has gotten away from me a little bit. But, I must say it is very addictive and quite satisfying because I can eat salads with sprouts( lentils, alfalfa, mung) and I do not get gas bloating. I did not realize how essential the sprouting was for me until I started to eat a lot of raw foods again, and I realized how critical they are for me as a raw food staple. I really cannot say enough about sprouting. It does take a little patience, but so does any type of food preparation.
