Date: May 03, 2007 02:36PM People often post about sprouting sunflower seeds etc. Can I just use the raw sunflower, pumpkin seeds I buy from Whole Foods that come in the plastic bags? Rarely do these seeds taste very fresh anyway and with pasteurization methods nowadays I feel they won't sprout. Am I wrong about that? Do I have to order special seeds? Date: June 15, 2007 12:38AM I don't know which kind you get in the plastic bags, but the ones in the Woodstock Farms plastic bags don't sprout too well because there's a lot of broken pieces.
The ones from the bulk bins at the health food stores usually have less broken pieces and sprout very well. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
