I need to buy some furniture etc for my house. Do you know of any chemical free furniture that is not too expensive and looks cool? Are all these mutually exclusive  ?

this is not too expensive at all and looks cooler than cool. you are able to be much more creative and ecclectic this way too, while recycling if you wish. (or you could atleast do one room as a squat/ lounge...) Re: Furniture

Date: July 20, 2008 08:19PM 2nd hand stores, yardsales, freecycle, craig's list. old stuff is cheap, you can see how it's gonna wear, it has aldeady off-gassed most of it's chemicals and it better for the earth than new stuff.

non toxic earth friendly products for bedroom home and baby. some furniture depending what it is coated with will at certian temps vaporize a toxic gas. Mattress is very toxic, you spend a lot of your life on it and most are treated `with (fire retardent Formaldahyde). studys show toxic vapor. are we sick yet? more and more green prouducts on the market, the race is on education or `catastrophe. most homes modern homes have pree board in them again treated with toxic `formaldahyde.
