TMJ and Raw Food

I have suffered with TMJ since I was a child. I am prone to migraine headaches (I think triggered by TMJ). I don't know if it just a coincidence or not, but since going raw I haven't had migraines and my jaw has felt okay. Recently my jaw has been feeling a little sore and I have a dull headache. I haven't had this pain in a while, so it surprised me a little when it came on. Anyways, I feel as through raw is helping somewhat. Is anyone aware of foods or herbs that can further help relieve this problem?

I used to grind my teeth in my sleep, and still have occasional clicking and soreness. Melons maybe?.. they are supposed to be mood enhancing and hydrating.. maybe helping with stress (one of my triggers for TMJ).... and juiced of course when it feels like I've been hit in the side of the face with a baseball bat tongue sticking out smiley

I read somewhere, (I think maybe David Wolfe's site? Also, Weston A. Price Foundation) that greens are great for building bone structure-and that incorrect formed jaws is because of years of improper mineral and calcium absorption (not just from you, but your family and so on-years of poor nutrition because the quality of food, even organic, is not what it used to be and not enough for proper development). I'm not sure about you, but my TMJ is related to my jaws being misaligned and anything I can do to create better bone structure is something I am interested in. Stress only aggravates the problem. When I eat more greens I notice it makes my teeth, gums, etc. feel stronger, and even my jaw. BUT I would assume you would have to do this for a long time to have a lasting affect on your jaw structure...but who knows, everyone is different and heals at different rates. And adding more greens definitely won't hurt! smiling smiley
