Date: October 16, 2008 05:25AM I just had my 4th MRI, The 3rd and 4th contrast shots made me nauseated
and the 4th gave me a strong chem taste in the mouth. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about what that contrast shot is made up of. Im told that you pass the contrast shot through your urine. Had to take a walk in the mine field again and was wondering about this ama mri stuff, neg effect ect? Peace rhb Re: MRI contrast shots?

Date: October 16, 2008 12:29PM Gadnolinium, a chelated heavy metal (I just googled it). If you didn't have allergic reactions (and the ones you described are normal -- I've had the same symptoms, as has my daughter), you should be ok. It's nasty stuff, though. I'd load up on seaweed and other heavy metal detox foods. Re: MRI contrast shots?

Date: October 25, 2008 05:28AM I had a CT scan today. I have had one before, pre-raw days, but his time I really felt nervous. I was worried about all that liquid chalk I had to drink, the iodine contrast, and the radiation! I was told there were absolutely no side effects from that liquid chalk, but guess what, it plugged me up big time!! :-( The CT tech said the long term affects of the scan itself it not know! Yikes!!! And I was told nothing harmful about the iodine. I'm not sure I buy it.
