Date: August 06, 2008 06:31PM depends on the stain. i would google whatever it is on your carpet to see the best way to get it out. different things take different methods of cleaning and lots of them can be done by hand in just the spot that needs the cleaning. you can follow that with an all over steam clean if neccessary. Date: August 07, 2008 02:04AM if its' that messy i would spot treat the worst bits and then go over it with a steam cleaner (you can rent them) that only steam cleans, that will do a better job than the vacuum/cleaner kind. you will have to use chemicals to get out bad stains though. maybe if you google a bit you might find some natural solutions to try out and see if they work before going the chemical route.
