Date: January 22, 2011 05:57PM I have a middle ear infection and was prescribed Amoxicillin. Is there an alternative for this? My doctor said eardrops won't heal this, has to be oral. Re: Amoxicillin - is there an alternative?

Date: January 22, 2011 06:18PM I have used colloidal silver. Even the stuff you get from the health food store should work. Hope you feel better soon Re: Amoxicillin - is there an alternative?

Date: January 22, 2011 06:23PM Thanks! I do have some trusty colloidal silver on hand. What would be the equivalent dosage of 2000mg Amoxicillin a day? Can I put a drop in my ear for the heck of it? Re: Amoxicillin - is there an alternative?

Date: January 23, 2011 02:34PM I would just take the maximum daily dosage as directed on the label of the product. In the past I have divided the dosage for an infection; half orally, half up the nose or into the ear. Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
