dangers of latex?

Date: February 16, 2010 01:53AM Please be gentle. I just purchased a mattress and it's expensive and I do not have the money to replace it... let alone get rid of it completely... It's not memory foam but it's latex (not organic I am sure or it would say it) and just reading these forums I saw someone mention something about latex. What are the possible dangers of latex? And what kind of mattress should we buy, "organic latex", or is there any other type other than latex? Have tried searching the internet but there is a ot of confusing info and you guys are brilliant for this anyway
Thanks in advance Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 02/16/2010 01:53AM by karmele. Re: dangers of latex?

There is no data on whether the synthetic ones are dangerous; I imagine that it's a pretty stable substance at room temp. Some people have contact allergy to one kind or the other, but you aren't sleeping directly on it so . . . Re: dangers of latex?
