Scatological Success: Fecal Transplants to Treat Bacterial Infections?

[healthland.time.com]

I don't know why they have to mention 'eat' @#$%& when it only involves inserting it in the rectum. But it's interesting that number 2 could have healing properties.

It is interesting...

Aajonus Vonderplanitz (I think that is the guy, as I have heard so many "health" gurus on the radio, etc.) talks about using fecal matter & the beneficial health properties of it.

Urine also gets a nod from some in the alternative field. I say "No thank you", I will stick to green smoothies & the like.

fecal transplants have had quite alot of success so far, will be interesting to see if it becomes more broadly available for other illnesses linked to low levels of good flora.

Living foodists may have an angle in all of this, imagine people contacting fruitarians for a special purchase of healthy microbes.
