Skin starts to smell after using coconut oil as moisturiser

Date: March 17, 2011 06:27AM My skin starts to smell after a while when using coconut oil as moisturiser. Is it just the coconut oil or other people have noticed this as well.
Are their any alternatives? My skin tends to be dry and uncomfortable. Dr.Mercola body butter has worked great but it's too expensive.
