Thermography, had it done, know anything about it?

Date: March 31, 2011 02:34PM My mom is being pressured by her Dr to get (another) mammogram. I'm pretty convinced that traumatizing breast tissue by squashing it and then radiating it isn't a healthy thing to do so have been looking into alternatives for her. I'd heard of thermography as a safe and effective detection method for the big C, just wondering if anyone has had it done, knows someone who's had it done, has read anything pertinent etc. It's not horribly expensive all things considered and certainly less invasive, painful and potentially damaging than a mammorgram. I'm even considering it myself, I'm nearly 40 and my Gran had a lump removed in her 50's. Re: Thermography, had it done, know anything about it?

Date: March 31, 2011 09:52PM My mom had a whole body thermography film done while battling cancer, and it dovetailed perfectly with the dangerous and expensive CT scan she had around the same time; hindsight's twenty-twenty, eh? I would absolutely have one instead of a mammo. Edited 1 time(s). Last edit at 03/31/2011 09:52PM by Tamukha. Re: Thermography, had it done, know anything about it?

Date: March 31, 2011 11:25PM Thanks Tam. Message me the name of the clinic she went to if it was in MI please. It's less expensive over there than it is here, like less than half as much! Sorry, only registered users may post in this forum.
